I composed this fanfare to pay homage to the creative process in general. It begins with an E Flat concert drone in the lower voices. This is to depict the basic foundation of nothing that the creative process begins with. The addition of the third (G) scale degree depicts the creative process building even further and even taking a step back via the appearance of F, the second scale degree.

As instrumentation is thickened the creative process begins to flourish. Ideas arise and are applied and the creative process is completely underway.  The piece ends in a liberating fashion, meant to depict the creator feeling relieved about finally having expressed that which was in his or her heart.
